Large screen HDTVs appeared to have been a very popular Christmas gift this year. I don’t have any statistics on this, but a review of many online stores show popular brands and sizes out of stock. When I drew this strip, large screen T.V.s weren’t the flat panel digital sets we see today. They were large projection screen behemoths that needed a couple of movers in order to get them into our homes.  I just a few short years, technology changed all that.  These flat panel sets weigh in at under 30 pounds, ha e razor sharp displays, and, like the LG 60PK550 1080p Plasma HDTV, a screen size of 60 inches!  Wow!
