Space can sometimes be limited when drawing a comic strip.  That’s why I really enjoy drawing these long single panel comic strips.  It gives me the opportunity to fill the canvas a bit more with stuff I like to draw, like cartoony scenery.  I especially like dropping in rocks and bushes. The mountain in the background was fun to add, too.  It’s just plain fun to have an area not taken up by dialogue and word balloons and being able to add stuff that I sometimes don’t get a chance to draw.
