The Christmas shopping season is about to begin and folks will be sliding lots of plastic cards through credit card readers.  Just stand in a Walmart and watch what happens at the checkout. Everyone slides and pays (or slides and borrows).   All that credit card activity served as the inspiration for this strip.  I just sorta put the two ideas together, Santa’s names and purchasing with credit cards.
