Listening to music used to involve large speakers, tuners, amplifiers and turntables. An entire room of equipment! Now, it’s been reduced to a credit card sized device containing digital information. It’s pretty amazing stuff!

Good turntable on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/gilmour509 for a start, then check out his friends. Select playback at the highest quality your IP provider supports 480P and up. I am still running two turntables today. ION iTTUSB with a Ortofon Concord DJ S cartridge and stylus and a Pioneer PL-518 direct drive turntable from the 70’s connected by a Behringer Box UCA222 that converts RCA in to USB out. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_5_16?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=behringer+uca222&sprefix=behringer+uca222
I still have over 500 LP’s that sound great.
Remeber putting pennies and other coins on the stylus arm to help the tracking? I guess it helped avoid skipping. I never owned a turntable in my college days…but I saw lot of kids do this with their Turntables. Then there was the lights that would sync the speed.
